JAY HOFFA

Greatness comes from a solid sense of self. As an artist, it takes knowing who you are and exactly what you want to say; In a era saturated with upstart MCs all vying for the coveted status of next big thing. the story of 24 year old Brooklyn native Jay Hoffa (born Wayne King) is a refreshing exception to the quick route for success & accomplishing great feats. With such a diverse display, pioneer Jay Hoffa (born Wayne King) is poised to cement his name in this world for eons to come. But more than that, with his debut studio album currently in production, he hopes to change the tide of current rap music, swaying it in a more inspirational, enlightening, & meaningful direction. Looking to excel, Brooklyn native Jay Hoffa brings promise of a new day ushering in a tidal wave of mysticism in hip-hop music.

Jay Hoffa was born on the same day as Michael Jordan; in Barbados and relocated to Brooklyn, NY a couple days after his birth; when his mother became ill having a stroke. He was then raised by his grandmother, who worked to instill in him the principles of hard work and determination. Hoffa attended Peoples Elementary, a christian school of music & art in Brownsville Brooklyn, New York, from Kindergarten through 3rd Grade where he was introduced to a spectrum of music, art, & culture; before attending many more schools until finally moving to florida in the year of 2007. Taking from his favorite artists a love for storytelling with an intense inner-awareness, Jay Hoffa advanced to writing his own lyrics at 13, while seeking the answer to the most critical question that has been asked for centuries by Alchemists and Wizards “What is truth?” The answer he would later find, the truth is the best of what is in me, the best in us all… Jay Hoffa later attended Coral Glades High School where he furthered his music career, met life long friends, and gained the support of fans and peers.

Jay Hoffa has 4 Mixtapes under his belt starting with “Lights, Camera, Action” in April. 2011, “Purp & Cheese” in August 2011, “Legendary Faith (The Adventure Of A Lifetime)” in July 2012 & “No Days Off (The Blueprint For Haters)” in January 2013. Hoffa released his first promotional track “Crown Me King” a month before his debut mixtape released; which vastly spread across the internet and quickly solidified him as a breakout star, generating a lot of buzz. The track “Crown Me King” first debuted on LA’s Phresh & Phamous Radio giving him the exposure needed to showcase and introduce his talent to everyone. Now everyone & label executives have taken notice. Jay Hoffa has since then started his “Join The Brotherhood (F.O.B)” movement; also forming a fully functioning Entertainment Company/ Music Label called “Family Of Brothers” with Recording Artists Chaz Indigo & Milz, who have went on to tour with artists such as G.R.A.M.Z, The Underachievers, Kirk Knight, Denzel Curry & Bodega Bamz to name a few.
